Border crossing time -> Grove City, PA

Grove City, PA

This was a day of many firsts.

On Sunday September 15th, 2013 I went flying with fellow club members Bob and Behzad for my first club fly-out. It also happened to be my first time in the back seat of a Piper Archer.

We flew 1.5 hours from Buttonville to Erie international. Bob is IFR rated so we ended up above clouds on the way there. That was a first for me! It was so beautiful. This was also my first time going through US customs in a small aircraft. I was surprised at how easy and enjoyable the process was. After we got our passports stamped we took off again and flew another 30 minutes to Grove City, PA. In Grove City, we fuelled up our aircraft and then went to the Elephant and Castle for lunch. Following lunch we went shopping for an hour. The return flight home was direct at 1.5 hours. It was a wonderful day.
